Mission

As an artist and metal fabricator, I want the consummate Harley Davidson or other custom bike owner to have a motorcycle that is unique; a truly one- off expression of themselves. A completely custom product that no one else is producing, which totally identifies your bike with you, your beliefs, or kith and kin. I can also do larger hammered shapes or emblems on automobile hoods or panels. You can buy a store bought ride, put thousands of dollars in chrome on it, custom pipes, handle bars and countless bolt on accessories, but you will ultimately see another rider with the same store bought bike options. With my work it will never happen! Ironically for about the same cost! Make your ride an expression or yourself, not a pile of bolt on aftermarket parts, made in Japan.

My Work

My work consists of all metal. No sculpted body filler and fiber glass molding. I can work with carbon steel, stainless, aluminum or copper and brass. Clear coating raw steel is a challenge, but a brushed stainless or aluminum tank will always be a work of beauty with zero maintenance. Painting the raised emblems on my tanks is also an eye catcher. Particularly with a little bit of ghost flame or shading to highlight the emblem thickness. If you have a military emblem, coat of arms, a rocker or trademark, I am sure I can create something unique you will be proud of.

Resources and Processes

I have a very good plasma cutting system, but I also have full access to a multimillion dollar CNC laser cutting system which is capable of cutting out the most intricate letters, details and emblems. All my work is fully MIG welded, brazed or leaded to the tank surfaces. I prefer mostly metal work but my painting skills are above average. I prefer doing custom metal work over painting. If you choose to have your painter do the work I will be happy to guide him in what has worked best for me in the past. I also choose to fully epoxy coat the inside of the tank to avoid any future corrosion or rust issues.

About Strictly Custom

Strictly Custom was formed in 1977 by my late father, Cy Sanders. I grew up building bikes with my late father. We had a motocross track on our property and races every week. We chopped, raked, stretched and constructed tins for mostly Sportsters, Pans and Shovels. We worked on them all.

We painted countless cars and bikes, but always preferred custom work as an artistic outlet compared to wrenching; as I do now. We straightened and brazed speedway bike frames and built all forms of motors. Now I am specializing completely in metal fabrication.
